Our client is a leading development agency who is looking for a Project Executive to join their team on a Permanent basis.
Project Executive
Our clients Technology Department works with 305 clients, employing almost 60,000 people - including most of the world's leading technology companies.
The Department is one of the busiest in the organisation with a large volume of investments - new names, expansions, RDIs and training under consideration at any one time. In addition, the Department is involved in several industry initiatives and organisations which require regular executive inputs.
As a result of opportunities arising from the EU CHIPS Act, the Technology Department has recently established a new Semiconductor Unit.
The Microelectronics sector employs over 25,000 people in Ireland in areas such as micro chip fabrication/manufacturing, software, applications, systems, and integrated circuit (IC) design. Working as part of the Technology Department the aim is to support efforts to secure foreign direct investments to Ireland "Driving Recovery and Sustainable Growth 2021-2024".
Responsibilities
The role involves, working with key stakeholders, in developing and implementing a value proposition for Ireland targeted at the semiconductor industry and companies across the value chain.
This is a new role, in a newly established Unit, and as such will require a self-starter, strong analytical and technical skills, cross functional team worker and an ability to carry a complex process through to completion.
1. Working with the Department and Project Manager to assist in developing and
implementing a winning strategy for the Microelectronics / Semiconductor industry in
Ireland;
2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry value chain in Ireland and assist
in developing the value proposition for Ireland to attract foreign direct investment in the
sector;
3. Help to develop appropriate marketing material for the sector with the objective of
becoming an 'industry expert' to support the work of the Department;
4. Be prepared to undertake stakeholder itineraries in Ireland or overseas stakeholder
marketing trips as required;
5. Organize in-person/and or virtual events, stakeholder meetings, conferences, or seminars
of relevance to the work of the Unit or Technology Department;
6. Along with the Project Manager, leading collaboration and engagements concerning the EU Chips Act and collaboration/engagements with key stakeholders at National & EU level including for example DETE, EU Commission/ Brussels;
7. Understands the domestic and international business, macroeconomic and policy/legal
environment which pertains to the industry such as the EU and US CHIPS Acts;
8. Using databases and spreadsheets analyse and present data in logical and graphic format
including tracking activity on internal systems such as Interaction, Salesforce, CIS or
other internal systems such as Athena, Local drives etc.;
9. Work as part of smaller internal teams (such as the Global Business Team, Cross
Divisional Teams, Regions as appropriate) or wider industry stakeholder groups to identify/analyse problems, develop and implement appropriate solutions;
10. Ensure that continuous learning and development is undertaken through informal and
formal means including participation in the Performance Management & Development
Review Process;
11. Ensure dignity, respect and equality are applied throughout the organisation and that a
work life balance in the workplace is supported as much as possible;

21. A third level business related qualification to Level 8 standard on the National Qualification
Framework is essential;

24. Familiarity with the use of IT systems and packages to research, analyse and present data is desirable;
25. Ability to work well under pressure, flexibly and independently on own initiative;
26. Ongoing flexibility and interest in international career progression and development is
required;
27. A full driving licence is essential
