Summary of Role:
1. Deliver a comprehensive HR Service to the business by proactively advising on HR best practice.
2. Have a clear understanding of how the business operates and commercial objectives.
3. Support the people management functions that underpin the business culture, including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment & selection, compensation and benefits, engagement, ESG, professional growth and communications.
Main Responsibilities :
4. Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent; champion the company’s values and culture and continue the company’s ability to attract, engage and retain high performance teams.
5. Operate as a trusted partner with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Senior Management Team (SMT) coaching and advising on all people issues.
6. Provide guidance and coaching to managers/supervisors and support them with all HR related matters, in accordance with HR policies and procedures, best practice and employment legislation.
7. Lead the promotion of DE&I as part of the culture of the organisation.
8. Design and implement comprehensive employee engagement programs that align with the company’s strategic goals and culture, including recognition initiatives, team-building activities, and wellness programmes.
9. Facilitate focus groups and one-on-one interviews with employees at all levels to gather feedback on workplace satisfaction, engagement drivers, and areas for improvement.
10. Performance Management: coaching managers to be effective managers of performance and potential for employees.
11. Support talent acquisition activity for the site up to and including the successful on-boarding of new starters.
12. Manage talent reviews, benchmarking, development plans and succession planning.
13. Total reward: advise and support employees on company benefits. Advise managers on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
14. Lead compensation reviews and projects in line with company processes and guidelines.
15. Policy & procedures: secure implementation and maintenance of up-to-date HR policies, procedures and processes in line with PCI group practices. Ensuring Polices are in line with employment legislation.
16. Ensure managers are up to date with changes to any policies.
17. Employee Relations: Deal with disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.
18. Crafting of business and people solutions with other PCI HR Site Leaders.
19. Monitor and analyse HR metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on HR operations and trends.
20. Manage and assist with the roll out of HR initiatives within the business, meeting high standards of quality, delivery and professionalism.
21. Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external to the organisation.
22. Embrace the continuous improvement culture and seek to ensure that opportunities to evolve the service are taken.
23. Partner with Regional L&D to identify skills gaps within the organisation and develop programmes to upskill employees.
24. Payroll Support: Actively support the management of payroll process.
25. Identify areas for development and opportunities for improvement with regards to the HR function and service. Promoting continuous improvement principles.
26. Support/lead on HR projects to deliver business improvements.
27. Attend seminars and training workshops as part of Continual Professional Development.
28. Undertake additional tasks and projects as appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience:
29. At least 5 years HR post qualification experience.
30. Highly effective communicator with the ability to influence and build trusted partnerships at all levels and a proven track record of delivering high performance through consulting & coaching, with experience working directly with senior leaders.
31. Change management experience.
32. Experience of working within a global organisation is beneficial.
33. Commercial experience, in particular pharmaceuticals is desirable.
34. Working knowledge of Irish Employment Law and Practice is essential.
35. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
36. Previous experience with Workday highly desirable.
37. Meticulous, well-organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
38. Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
39. Strong and effective interpersonal skills.
40. Maintains levels of high confidentiality.
