We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Europe Legal & Compliance Team. This is a pivotal role that will support the businesses on a range of risk and compliance matters in Europe with a key focus on Operations and the Marsh & Mercer Service Centres. In this role you will report to the Europe Chief Compliance Officer and will work closely with the Europe General Counsel and senior leaders throughout the organisation.

We will rely on you to:
13. Identify and assess key risks within the organization and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively
14. Maintain and update top risks and risk registers and develop meaningful MI to ensure accurate and up-to-date information and reporting to key stakeholders including the Europe Risk Committee
15. Design and enhance controls to minimise risk exposure and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements
16. Provide guidance, support and advice to the business and operations teams on potential risks and a range of risk and compliance matters
17. Oversee outsourcing activities, ensuring strong governance and oversight to maintain the highest standards
18. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures
19. Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
20. Promote and train the business/operations on the ‘Three Lines of Defence’ ensuring ownership and a strong risk culture within the first line
21. Participate in, and contribute to, global and regional projects ensuring risk and compliance aspects are adequately considered
22. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, industry best practices and internal requirements to ensure continued compliance
What you need to have:
23. University Degree or recognised industry accreditation
24. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior Risk/Compliance role, ideally in the Insurance Industry
25. Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting the business e.g. IDD, AML, Privacy, DORA
26. Capable of building strong stakeholder relationships across the company
27. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
28. Strong written and verbal communication skills
29. Experience of writing and delivering training to multiple audiences
30. Highly motivated and enthusiastic
31. Strong team player, willing to step in and support the team as and when required
32. Self-starter with the ability to prioritise workload and to work under pressure
33. Commercial awareness
