Position Overview/Sizzle about the group:
ADI’s global procurement organization is expanding to support the large growth based on the Maxim acquisition and industry trends. ADI is looking for a Procurement Category Manager for the Automated Test and Measurement Equipment category based in Wilmington, MA to join the team as an integral part of this change. This individual will have global responsibility for a significant and critical pool of spend supporting and with exposure to all of our end markets including: industrial, automotive, digital healthcare, and high-end consumer power management markets.
Context on the role :
Individual will bring definitive value to the Procurement organization via analytical rigor, structured methodology to existing and new spend, market knowledge and spend leverage. Responsibilities include:
J ob Duties:
1. Understanding needs and requirements of internal stakeholders on current and future spend for a given category(ies)
2. Partnering with internal stakeholders to define category strategy, and approach to leveraging spend across the functional organizations
3. Coordinating with manufacturing, engineering, planning and other functional organizations to ensure on time delivery, cost expectations and inventory targets
4. Developing and managing supplier relationships, metrics and performance
5. Providing market intelligence
6. Leading supplier negotiations including RFP/RFQ processes, contract management, and long-term strategic negotiations to obtain maximum value proposition and meeting savings targets
7. Recognizing and understanding supply risk to the organization, work with suppliers and internal stakeholder to resolve or suggest alternative solutions.
Requirements*:
8. BS/MS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Industrial Engineering
9. 3-5 years of relevant Lab Equipment, large Capital purchases or Tester experience within a procurement function
10. Strong technical background preferred
11. Familiarity with Service Agreements and understanding of semiconductor lab equipment a plus
12. Strong analytical/negotiation skills and proven track record in Supplier Management and negotiations
13. Good problem solving and analytical skills with ability to handle multiple tasks at once and switch between strategic and detail-oriented thinking
14. Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments
15. Effective Communicator with the ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships internally including cross functional and cross site collaboration
16. Commitment to learn and develop new skills
17. Understanding of cost modeling and business financial acumen preferred
18. Experience with SAP or Oracle as MRP system preferred
19. Strong IT skills. High Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint required.
20. Experience in Semiconductor industry a plus
