The Role
:
As a Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper, you will be compiling year-end financial statements from source documents.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing diverse tax calculations and filings, such as Corporation Tax and Income Tax.
2. Overseeing accounts payable and receivable.
3. Aiding in the creation of monthly management reports.
4. Performing bank reconciliations.
5. Administering payroll and managing PAYE.
6. Submitting VAT returns and ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
7. Offering administrative support for financial operations.
8. Gaining opportunities to enhance tax expertise and explore other areas of interest.
Requirements:
9. Previously worked as an Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
10. Possess 1+ years of experience in accountancy practice.
11. Part qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or qualified Accounting Technician.
12. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Xero, Freeagent, QuickBooks.
13. Skilled in year-end accounts, trial balance preparation, VAT processing, payroll management, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation.
