Mechanical Fabrication Supervisor

Role Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fabrication Supervisor to oversee the fabrication and installation of mechanical systems, including pipe racks, pump skids, structural steel, HVAC, plumbing, and piping. The ideal candidate will ensure that all fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repairs meet project specifications and regulatory standards, while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:
Ensure a safe workplace, safe systems of work, competent personnel, and a strong safety culture.
Supervise activity/work package delivery and ensure tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Record daily activity logs for all site activities.
Coordinate with various trade professionals to organize new work areas and ensure smooth operations.
Liaise with subcontractors to order materials and manage lead times effectively.
Manage direct site staff and provide direction to designated work areas.
Attend regular site meetings with site management to update on progress.
Provide technical support to trade teams to resolve any issues.
Ensure all work areas are clear and ready for handover.
Develop and mentor teams, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
Key Requirements:
Senior Trades qualification or equivalent, coupled with 5+ years of site experience within pharmaceutical, medical device, commercial, industrial, or data centre sectors.
Strong understanding of site activities and the ability to plan and coordinate them effectively.
General knowledge of Mechanical Systems, HVAC, Building Services, Utilities, and Process Piping Systems.
Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
Proven track record of success as a Trade Leader.
Familiarity with materials ordering and lead times.
Strong client focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commercial acumen and the ability to influence project outcomes positively.
Highly organized, with a strong ability to plan and manage multiple priorities.
Attentive to detail with excellent record-keeping skills.
Results-oriented with the resilience to perform under pressure.
A strong team player with a proactive and decisive mindset.
