We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Agile Coach for a valued client of ours in the Banking sector, to assist in the training of management and teams across the business in adoption of the A
The Senior Agile Coach will work across a number of business units on a daily basis with the primary goal to support the teams to deliver value through Agile ways of working. Your experience will help teams and portfolios focus on efficiency, predictability and delivery of customer value. A skilled practitioner in multiple disciplines such as Scrum and Kanban with a pragmatic approach on agile transformation at scale is key competency for the role.
Key responsibilities:
1. Work with the product managers, delivery directors and technology heads to transform the organisation to a product-centric operating model following our transformational playbook
2. Coach Product owner(s) to align teams with the product vision, sprint goals, creation and maintenance of the product backlog, including empirical planning
3. Support the running and maturing of agile practice in squads
4. Teach systems thinking and servant leadership.
5. Able to identify needs and support teams in finding solutions to issues such as being predictable, efficient and focused on delivery of customer value with fast feedback cycles
6. Understanding and ability to coach/train fundamental Agile principles and techniques
7. Understand how to use metrics and data to drive improvements, such as cycle time and throughput
8. Run training and workshops for wider groups
9. Able to challenge preconceived ideas in order to bring out the best results in our people. Bring ideas from professional facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution to help the team become a high-performance team
10. Communicate organisational impediments to leadership; clear impediments for the team
11. Embrace the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instil the same in the team(s) you coach
12. Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coach organisation to conduct continuous improvement events
Qualifications:
13. 15+ years of experience working in the field of IT
14. Experience of working with senior stakeholders
15. Extensive experience of running agile transformation programs at scale
16. Ability to coach one to one and teams
17. Ability to see a problem, step in and then step out when appropriate
18. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
19. Passionate about "being better" with ability to create an appetite for continuous improvement across the business.
20. Value and outcome driven, with a positive, "can do" attitude
21. A highly motivated thinker with the ability to thrive in ambiguity
22. An open and honest individual who both welcomes and provides feedback in a way that is
23. Should hold industry recognized agile qualifications (e.g A-CSM, CSP), Coaching certification, as evidence of continued professional development (e.g ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF)
24. Experience in IT transformation projects would be considered highly desirable
