Health and Safety Officer
Our Client is currently looking for a Health and Safety Officer to support the day-to-day management and implementation of Health and Safety processes across the company. This is an office-based role, with some travel to site involved.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and development of the Health & Safety Management Systems, including:
1. To communicate effectively throughout the company on H&S issues and to actively participate in management meetings.
2. To provide reports relating to H&S as necessary to management.
3. To support the business needs of the company through innovative and efficient approaches in achieving compliance requirements that enhance the continuing development and growth of the company.
4. To carry out risk assessment and hazard identification.
5. To effectively communicate H&S requirements to staff through meetings, toolbox talks and learn from events.
6. To coordinate, manage and deliver EHS related training, (company requirements, procedures new legal requirements etc.), inductions, staff training etc.
7. To report on incidents and accidents and monitor follow up actions.
8. To monitor objectives and promote their delivery.
9. To carry out H&S audits and inspections.
10. Issue and track PPE requirements.
11. Liaise with site team to ensure health and safety documentation is up to date
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:
12. Third level qualification in Health & Safety is required.
13. At least 2 years’ experience within a Health & Safety regulated role is required.
14. Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
16. Ability to deliver training.
17. Excellent organisational skills.
18. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
19. Full clean drivers licence required.
20. Experience of RAMS & method statements
Salary & Benefits:
€40K – €50K per annum DOE
