Euronext also leverages its expertise in running markets by providing technology and managed services to third parties. In addition to its main regulated market, it also operates a number of junior markets, simplifying access to listing for SMEs.
Risk & Compliance department overview
Within the Risk & Compliance department, a team of almost 50 talented professionals in Risk, BCM and Compliance, spread across our various geographies, is ensuring to preserve the value assets and reputation of the company. Identifying and assessing risks, implementing mitigation actions, informing and raising staff and business awareness, monitoring and ensuring compliance with the appropriate regulations are the core activities embedded in our team.
The teams, as all its key stakeholders, including local Boards, Regulators, are located in all Euronext entities (Paris, Porto, Milan, Oslo, New York, Dublin, Copenhagen…).
Your role as Compliance Officer
The compliance officer reports to Head of Compliance of Euronext Dublin. The role will be based either in Dublin or Paris.
He/She contributes to the success of the relevant compliance functions for Euronext Group.
Compliance responsibilities:
* The compliance executive participates in Euronext group-wide efforts to implement, promote and mature the compliance culture of Euronext.
* Contribute to core Compliance policies review and monitoring from a group wide perspective. Ensure applicability to local market.
* Support groupwide risk analysis in relation to compliance risk and Client/Product risk in the execution of their risk analysis, including local requirements
* Create awareness at the Group and local level of such policies and practices
* Participate in Group initiatives and projects, as identified
* Assist in the development and implementation of the local compliance monitoring program in line with the risk based Group approach and the requirements of the Regulator
* Perform monitoring controls in line with this risk based approach and report to Group and Local management
* Work closely with and maintain strong internal relationships with business units.
* Support the local MLRO

Authority
As part of the compliance functions the role shall at all times have access to all relevant information, including databases, information systems and internal and external audit reports.
Competency and personal requirements
Essential:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience from compliance work in the financial sector
* Knowledge of MiFID requirements and related Central bank of Ireland guidance
* Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with different levels of an organization that promotes high integrity and understanding for legal requirements
* Ability to understand and transform compliance requirements into business context
* Flexible and open to change
* Exposure to international markets
* Proven experience with project requiring strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Excellent written and oral communicative skills in English
* Energetic, team player and able to multi-task.
Desirable:
* Compliance Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, economics, engineering or similar, is preferred
* Multinational experience, working in a matrix organisation structure
* Experience on compliance work and legal requirements related to financial infrastructure such as regulated markets, market operators for MTFs, CSD, is an advantage
* Experience from work with regulations related to data privacy/GDPR, Information security, Business Continuity Planning, Outsourcing, Market Surveillance, is an advantage
