Our client is a leading supplier of water treatment components in Ireland. They have over 30 years of experience within the water pumping and treatment industry. They are looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager who will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term profitable relationships. You will require previous experience in the water / water treatment / utilities sector to be considered for this position.
Reporting to the Managing Director, other areas include:
1. Developing new business
2. Sales strategy development & execution working individually and with existing sales teams.
3. Identifying new opportunities in both existing and complementary sectors
4. Support bid process including application, fulfilment, demos, and pricing.
5. Proactive development of sales pipeline
6. Strategic Account management
7. Business development with existing customers, identifying upsell opportunities.
8. Customer relationship management
9. Gauging and supporting customer satisfaction
10. Uncovering and consistently sharing industry and sector intel with Management and existing sales teams, to further inform business and product strategy.
11. Active engagement with product management functions to inform problem or opportunity-oriented roadmap. Through account management and new business responsibilities, document and provide input internally on customer trends and demands
12. Author marketing material such as white papers sharing trends and subject matter expertise to further develop the company's position in the market.
13. Conference attendance, Generate leads, build relationships
14. Hybrid working with 60% customer visits.
What you’ll need:
15. 5+ years of sales and business development experience in a similar industry (water / water treatment / utilities), providing direct support to customers during and post-implementation.
16. Experience in the water / water treatment / utilities sector is essential to be considered for this position.
17. Ability to translate technical and business requirements and adjust communication approach depending on the audience.
18. Strong technical and product background.
19. Demonstrated an ability to develop strong relationships with the customer leading to a deep understanding of their products and long-term business strategies.
20. Ability to build strong internal and external relationships to support the delivery and implementation while enhancing the customer experience across all touchpoints.
21. Experience showcasing products and services as a strategic fit for customers through sales presentation development and delivery, conferences, and networking events.
22. Ability to work individually and within a small team.
