Plant Manager - County Meath.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary objective of this role is to manage the entire manufacturing facility across all operational departments and meet the needs of customers daily. The Plant Manager is responsible for all day-to-day site-based activities ranging from Environmental Health & Safety, Quality Control, Production, Warehousing, Technical Processing and Maintenance. The Plant Manager must lead by example, strive for results, challenge the status quo, improve best practice, and coach multi-disciplined teams.
Key Tasks and Duties:
• Positively reinforce company leadership values and goals to all employees on an ongoing basis.
• Overall management of operational KPI's on site to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Developing site business, department strategies and implementation of group initiatives.
• Coach a cross-functional team of direct reports responsible for manufacturing products.
• Maintain a proactive culture of continuous improvement & best practice throughout the plant.
• Identify KPI improvements and cost savings initiatives with the site management team.
• Ensuring all operational personnel are trained so that optimum operational performance is achieved.
• Ensure site remains audit ready & in compliance with ISO standards, regulations, and statutory agencies.
• Collaborate with colleagues across IRL & UK sites on group wide initiatives.
• Provide regular updates to Operations Manager, Group Managers & Leadership Team.
• Further developing a high-performance organisation, steer an operational excellence approach.
• Achieve optimal results in a cost-efficient and high-quality manner. Monitor volumes, cost, quality and overall OEE.
• Launch CAPEX investments to keep up with the technological innovations.
• Create a healthy work culture in line with the organisation's values. Remain an employer of choice.
• Create an effective organisational structure. Coach and develop the employees to ensure their competences, skills and know-how are used and developed to the best advantage.
• Establish good collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.
Interested applicants should have:
• Engineering/Operational Management Degree or similar, or equivalant experience.
• At least 8 years' experience working at a senior management level in a manufacturing role.
• Ability to collaborate with peer groups and improve business & site performance
• Proven track record in delivering on Health & Safety and Operational KPI’s.
• Experience leading Lean Management and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
