Your new role
As an experienced Senior Forensic Engineer, you will carry out inspections at a variety of accident locations.
1. Liaise with other consultant engineers and clients.
2. Survey accident location.
3. Perform necessary tests.
4. Photograph relevant details.
5. Research relevant literature (regulations, standards, guidelines, code of practice etc.).
6. Write a technical engineering report for use in court.
7. Attend meetings with clients to discuss engineering and health and safety issues relevant to liability.
8. Deliver evidence and face cross-examination as expert witness in court cases.
9. The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training in-house and from external providers.
What you'll need to succeed
The position requires a Chartered Engineer and Member of Engineers Ireland. At least 10 years’ experience in any of the following disciplines Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Fire Safety, Health & Safety or Forensic Engineering. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Good technical report writing. Capable of giving evidence in court and dealing with cross examination. Proven problem-solving skills. A full clean drivers’ licence.
