Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Arrabawn Co-op's Ingredients Manufacturing Division wishes to invite applications for the position of Manufacturing Engineer. The individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the Maintenance/Engineering Department and contractors so as to optimise the performance of the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Support all operations and maintenance requirements across the site and to ensure continuation of process improvements
Execution of maintenance procedures in line with site SOP's
Attend to breakdowns and raising of corrective maintenance tasks as appropriate for follow up works required
Support and assistance for the Operations and Maintenance Utilities Systems
Active engagement in innovation and continuous improvement, taking ownership in highlighting areas where improvements are possible and or opportunities exist
Management of vendors on site for the services delivered and area's owned under the Facilities Services contract
Permitting, method statements, risk assessments and scheduling in vendor visits to site
Day to day preventative maintenance of all plants, machinery and equipment. Maintenance of the site's CMMS system.
Complete all documentation in relation to maintenance procedures on site.
Maintain all Company assets in accordance with manufacturers specifications.
Electrical and mechanical process and installation troubleshooting to include the fire alarm and ATEX system management.
Managing site calibrations and all requirements for audit certification
Strictly adherence to all site safety Policies
Compete all work according to site Quality standards and GMP-Documentation and housekeeping.
Requirements: The ideal candidate must possess the following:
A proven track record of managing a maintenance/engineering function
A third level engineering degree in process, mechanical, electrical or similar discipline
Strong people management, problem solving, planning, organising, trouble shooting and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal skill and an ability to achieve results through people
IT Literate
Fluency in English written and oral.
Food industry experience and knowledge manufacturing in the dairy industry would be a distinct advantage
Proven experience, minimum of 3 to 4 years

Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
