Vertiv, formally E&I are hiring a Project Manager for the EMS & Automation team. Based in Either Derry, NI or Burnfoot, Ireland. POSITION SUMMARY
* Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance professional growth and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Management of projects from inception to on-site commissioning and client hand over.
* Allocate resources and assign responsibilities for the development of detailed software code for automation, control and energy management data acquisition applications.
* Ensure that projects are completed to strict budgets and that project tracking documentation and variations are kept up to date for ongoing reviews.
* Define the scope of projects in collaboration with senior management.
* Creation of a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete projects.
* Monitor progress of projects whilst making any adjustments necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
* Manage day-to-day operational aspects on multiple projects.
* Strong interpersonal skills necessary to lead a team
* Providing regular reports on progress to senior managers and the division manager.
* Ensure project documentation is completed against strict timeframes to conform to client standards
* Negotiating with contractors and suppliers for materials and services
* Ensure client satisfaction on project completion
* Evaluation of each projects performance and develop lessons learned for use on future projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Job Qualifications:
* Relevant experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment
* Be efficiently organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks
* Knowledgeable background across a range of hardware and software PLC systems
* Electrical/Automation/Control Engineering qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
