About the Role
The Director of Strategic Initiatives drives the orchestration and execution of strategic initiatives on behalf of the GM of Analytics. They multiply the efficiency of the organisation by representing and driving the strategy, streamlining processes, building trust, effectively communicating, mentoring teams and prioritising projects.
Special Initiatives and Strategy Projects:
1. Advise leaders and key product teams on overall strategy direction, providing key input for presentations and helping steer key initiatives
2. Lead key operational initiatives and conduct research for major projects
3. Parachute into situations and teams to identify “quick win” tactical solutions and longer-term solutions to solve challenges
Trusted Advisor:
4. Advise and support the GM in defining, articulating and altering the strategy in accordance with company-wide objectives
5. Partner with the GM on key organisational changes, leadership alignment and process improvements to ensure vision and strategy are enabled
6. Serve as a representative for the GM in various meetings and forums as appropriate
7. Advise on confidential matters and maintain a high level of discretion
Operations Management:
8. Act as the main liaison for crucial corporate functions
9. Promote and ensure the achievement of organisational goals and objectives across the leadership team and company
10. Report on risks, issues, budget and metrics for executives
11. Identify and implement improvements to enhance organisational systems and processes, with an emphasis on agility
12. Create and coordinate professional development initiatives
Internal Communications and Coordination:
13. Organise and run key meetings within the organisation including staff meetings, leadership offsites, town halls, people leader meetings, etc.
14. Own overall communications strategy and proactively review messaging effectiveness
15. See to closure important and time-sensitive follow-up actions coming out of senior leadership discussions.
16. Nurture relationships within and outside of the organisation to form strong cross team operational efficiency and trust
About You
You are self driven and energised by problem solving. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, has excellent communication and organisation skills, strong executive presence and understands how to multi-task priorities ranging from strategic to tactical. To be considered for this role you will already be an experienced leader with validated business operations, communications, strategy and technical skills gained in a similar Chief of Staff / COO / Business Management capacity and/or from a Senior Product, Business Operations or Strategy/Consulting position.
Basic Qualifications:
17. Significant experience in business operations, strategy, consulting or product management
18. Experienced people manager with skills to provide coaching and growth opportunities for team members
19. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and contribute to goal-setting and outcome planning
20. A proven track record of executing and delivering transformational projects
21. Deep experience in an enterprise SaaS environment, particularly technical experience or experience working closely with product and technology teams
22. Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities, with the capability to engage with colleagues, top-level executives, various teams, and external partners
