Hynes Driving School has been providing professional tuition in the Midlands since 1985. We are one of the longest-serving and most successful driving schools in Ireland. We are now seeking a full-time HGV Driving Instructor and a full time car instructor to join our team. Both roles include working Saturdays. You will be responsible for providing individualized driving instruction to students in order to help them obtain their driver's license. You will play a crucial role in teaching students the necessary skills, knowledge, and techniques to become safe and responsible drivers. As the Driving Instructor you must have excellent communication skills, patience, and a strong understanding of traffic laws and driving regulations. Responsibilities Teach students the rules of the road, including traffic laws, road signs, and defensive driving techniques. Demonstrate proper driving techniques and safety procedures to students. Assess students' driving skills and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Help students prepare for their driving tests by practicing maneuvers, hazard perception, and driving in various traffic conditions. Develop lesson plans and tailor instruction to meet the specific needs and abilities of each student. Maintain accurate records of each student's progress and attendance. Upload lesson progress onto RSA portal where applicable Stay updated on changes in driving laws and regulations to effectively teach students and ensure compliance. Required Qualifications The car instructor should have a valid irish driving licence for category B The HGV instructor should have a valid irish driving licence for categories C and /or D. We provide tuition in Rigid trucks, articulated trucks and buses ADI (approved Driving Instructor) certification or have 2 stages of the exam process completed Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding driving instruction in the state or jurisdiction. Prior experience as a driving instructor is preferred, but not always required. Be over 25yrs of age Experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and instructions to students. Patience and the ability to remain calm and composed while teaching nervous or inexperienced drivers. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and driving regulations. Exceptional observation skills to quickly identify and correct errors in driving techniques. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students. Excellent organizational skills to develop lesson plans and maintain accurate records. Confidence in providing clear and concise instructions to students. Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges or difficulties that may arise during driving lessons. Reliable and punctual to ensure that all scheduled lessons are conducted on time.
