RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Working with the customer support and production test teams on debug/test of RMA/RFA devices and test program updates
2. Working closely with our IC designers to develop real-time embedded software for our cutting-edge ultra-wideband (UWB) radio products, targeting secure transactions and real time location systems (RTLS)
3. Developing / porting low-level UWB and peripheral driver software
4. Designing and developing APIs, and verifying operation on pre-tapeout and on early sample devices
5. Diagnosing practical problems and delivering solutions to them.
6. Support and assist customers through sales, marketing, and applications team
QUALIFICATIONS:
7. Have a good honours degree in Engineering or Computer Science from a recognised university.
8. Have experience in design and debug of embedded systems software and be proficient in ‘C’.
9. Have good written and oral communications skills, able to interpret written requirements and technical specs, and generate coherent documents during all phases of software development.
10. Be capable of taking a leading role in the software system design, able to work alone or in a team as the need arises.
And, ideally have experience of some or all of the following:
11. Development of software and drivers for SOC microprocessors and their peripherals.
12. System architecture design and security considerations.
13. Wireless communications protocols, including data encryption and authentication aspects.
14. SPI, DMA, secure firmware boot, RTOS, ARM Cortex, CryptoCell and TrustZone.
