Quantity Surveyor
Our Client, a Meath based construction company, is seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join its Project Management Team. The successful candidate will become a key part of the continued success of a growing construction company and market leader in its category.
Responsibilities of the role:
Review the specifics of each clients’ contract.
Financial reporting across all projects.
Identify, price and agree all variations as and when they occur.
Project reviews, highlighting potential risks to Senior Management.
Send out tender enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers ensuring value for money is achieved.
Maintain good relationships with Clients, keeping them up to date with progress of their project.
Communicate with site team to ensure that they are fully aware of all plans with regards to customers’ requirements, job specifications, program of works etc.
Check measured quantities in pricing documents against drawings and other tender documents;
Assist the Commercial Team to ensure that all contractual entitlements are submitted and recovered from clients
Cost analysis and reviews of sub-contractor/supplier costings
Liaise with engineering and sales teams to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same
Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications Required:
Preferably 5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying roles in a Construction business, preferably with experience in construction of Domestic Units.
Degree level education within Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commercial Management or a similar field
Ability to build strong working relationships
Excellent negotiation skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent IT skills
