You will be responsible to:
Manages the finance functions to support the business strategy and coordinates short term and long term planning. Manages and provides financial information and defines guidelines and policies, in order to enable the business to lead Hovione in an effective and efficient manner and to optimize the result of the business. Manages the investment program. Defines and monitors the internal controls over financial reporting. Coordinates tax incentives, grants. Performs the group consolidation. Is a key stakeholder is transversal projects addressing profitability and structure.
- Create a strategy for the Finance department of the site, defining and monitoring the annual plan and adjusting priorities throughout the year, maintaining an even workflow using all resources effectively
- Implement and administer established accounting and controlling policies, procedures and practices to meet finance requirements in the site under responsibility
- Ensure maintenance of general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, payables and receivables in the site under responsibility
- Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts within the site
- Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results in the site under responsibility
- Coordinate activities of financial analysis, interpretation of variances from budgets and standards and advice key management within the site
- Guarantee the balances at local banks
- Ensure compliance of the organization’s practices with applicate legislation and tax authorities
- Manage the TMs assigned to his/her area of responsibility, namely in terms of recruitment, integration, training needs and performance management in accordance with the company's HR policies, in order to ensure all TMs are aligned and motivated towards achieving Hovione's goals, values and culture by promoting their personal and professional development whilst maximizing productivity
- Develop and propose for approval the short and mid-term goals, annual budget and budget plan in line with the corporate strategy, in order to align activities with Hovione strategic objectives
- Prepare and propose for superior approval the annual finance budget of the site, by defining the allocation of resources necessary for the development of the activity, as well as ensuring the monitoring and control of its evolution, identifying any deviations between the real and the foreseen and taking corrective measures
- Ensure compliance with GMP and HSE guidelines, internal and external requirements as well as promote the implementation and maintenance of Hovione´s policies, systems and procedures (COPs, HBR, SOPs and others) within his/ her TMs
We are looking to recruit a Candidate:
- Masters’ degree in Finance, or related field
- Technical background preferred
- Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience in Finance and coordinating a team
- Experience in a “Big Four” with financial auditing responsibilities
- Experience at corporate level in a multinational environment
- Proven leadership experience
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Track record of overachieving targets
- Possess extensive knowledge of financial principles and practices, and is able to lead others on them
- Deep knowledge of the general accepted accounting principles adopted in the country under responsibility
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Skilled at driving processes and tools
- Fluency in English is a requirement
