Senior Electrical Engineer – Limerick
The Life Science and Tech division is looking for Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team in Limerick. The Electrical Engineer, co-ordinates with the line manager and provides Engineering Leadership for their respective project(s). Sets the strategy for Engineering setting out and onsite control, along with the (Engineer/Assistant Engineer) and subordinates/supply chain. Is the primary point of reference for QA, record keeping and production ensuring the establishment and maintenance of the Sisk Quality procedures and requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Support their manager in the integration and delivery of Building Services systems into Projects
2. Support the use of the Companies Building Services Management Systems & Procedures.
3. Support their manager and or the Estimating Department in MEP tender process including commercial and technical evaluation of bids on MEP projects when required
4. Support the procurement of MEP packages and associated contract documentation towards appointment.
5. Support the Procurement and Management of the Site Temporary Electrical package requirements for the project with consideration also to energy efficiency.
6. Support the finalising of Building Services Installation and Commissioning programmes to integrate with the main Construction Programme.
7. Support Liaison with the Utility companies to ensure their infrastructural and interface requirements are understood, communicated and adhered to.
8. Support the process that MEP co-ordinated and Builders works drawings are prepared, issued and approved ahead of the programmed start on site dates.
9. Support the tracking of equipment and plant through each stage from submittal approvals through to samples and mock ups / ordering / FAT’s / delivery and quality checking is carefully managed.
10. Support the monitoring of Building Services installation and commissioning works on site against the planned progress requirement of the programme.
11. Support the management of the MEP commercial and contractual aspects of the project with their manager.
12. Support formal snagging, quality walk downs and associated inspection and sign off of the Building Services Installation.
13. Support the preparation, issue and approval of method statements for MEP related matters by the MEP Contractors.
14. Support the development of site-specific Inspection, Test, Commissioning and Handover Plans” with the MEP Contractors.
15. Support that the “Notification of Readiness Procedure” has been utilised in relation to Making Safe MEP Services prior to Builders Works where relevant.
16. Attend and witness on site testing and commissioning demonstrations when required
17. Support the progressive assembly and approval of the Safety File.
18. Support preparation and countdown to Soft Landings
Responsibilities:
19. Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
20. Membership of an industry related Professional institution such as CIBSE /CIOB / IEI or equivalent
21. Work experience of typically 6-8 years + post qualification.
22. Technical Competence through operational involvement in MEP projects.
23. Can demonstrate technical and commercial skills necessary to support the management of building services projects.
24. Effective interpersonal skills working in multi-disciplinary teams.
25. Awareness of health and safety policies and practices and have positive safety values and behaviours.
26. Understanding of importance in implementing quality management systems, inspections, test commissioning and handover plans.
27. Drive and initiative to identify and follow through on tasks required to help deliver the project.
28. Communication skills that are clear and concise with excellent listening skills
