Your new role
You will lead the finance team and become part of the senior leadership team, playing a critical role in bringing the business into its next phase of development. We want to hire a motivated qualified accountant who wants to share a passion to grow with the company, sharing clear career progression opportunities.
You will oversee and manage the finance-accounts department of the firm, ensuring all aspects operate efficiently and smoothly. You will be responsible for setting out a roadmap of internal innovation and continuous improvement that raises the bar of finance management delivery, and puts in place the foundations for an expansion roadmap.
1. Manage, empower and lead the finance team.
2. Be responsible for the companies' budget and financial reporting.
3. Preparation of Management Accounts and generate board updates.
4. Liaise with auditors.
5. Ensure financial controls are effective and are appropriately applied.
6. Identify projects across Finance as part of the continuous improvement program, including the utilisation of technology and financial systems to streamline business processes.
7. Lead the assessment of business development opportunities.
8. Ensuring compliance with financial procedures and appropriate accounting standards.
9. Ensure effective cash and bank management is performed with monitoring of bank and cash balances on an ongoing basis.
What you'll need to succeed
10. You must be a Qualified Accountant - Chartered, ACA, ACCA, CPA with at least 5+ years industry experience with strong technical accounting skills.
11. Strong commercial acumen is needed with experience of working in medium to large organisations where there is complex accounting.
What you'll get in return
