Kelly Staffing are delighted to be recruiting for experienced Warehouse Operatives to join the team in Thermo Fisher Scientific in their warehouse facility in Ashbourne Co. Meath.

Work pattern: Monday to Friday days. (Hours to be agreed with the successful applicant)
What will I do?
1. Operate as a member of the team which services the requirements of our customers. There are various departments within the operation, covering functions such as inbound receipts, stock control, outbound order processing and dispatching.
2. Observe and adhere to departmental and company procedures. Follow safe working practices and keep working area neat and clean.
3. Receive goods delivered and/or returned on the loading bay from suppliers and customers, load and unload boxes, packages, cages and pallets from vehicles.
4. Process various sized packages and cartons, open container to check for quality and quantity, place checked goods into storage totes/pallets, book the items into the warehouse management system and process to the location required.
5. Pick items for orders from various locations using radio data terminals and picking lists and by using appropriate equipment and conveyor.
6. Responsible for checking product codes, whilst following BSI 9002 Quality Standards and ISO 14001 Environmental Standards.
7. Maintain a high standard of customer service and quality, ensuring all departmental standards are always adhered to.
8. Follow stipulated guidelines relating to the safe storage, segregation and handling of hazardous materials.
9. Perform duties whilst acting in accordance with the Dignity at work Policy, Code of Business conduct and ethics, values and participate in PPI initiatives and lean methodology to identify improvements and cost savings to the business.
What you will bring to the team
10. Ability to readily understand written and verbal procedures/instructions in English.
11. Computer literate
12. Previous experience in a Warehouse/Forklift/Picking/Packaging or Dispatch environment.
13. Previous IATA and/or Dangerous Goods training/experience a distinct advantage.
14. Forklift/Order Picker (VNA)/Counterbalance licenses advantageous
15. Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team.
16. Improve & maintain skills through continuous development and training.
17. Have a professional approach when dealing with customers and key partners. Work wear is provided and must be maintained to a good standard.
