About the role:
In response to increasing demand, we are seeking a full-time Architect or Engineer specialising in Fire Engineering to lead fire strategy compliance for projects across the country, stationed in Charleville, County Cork. This position requires managing fire strategy compliance throughout each project phase, from feasibility studies and planning to design development and construction. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with strong communication skills, a passion for applying technical knowledge, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Requirements:
• Over five years of experience as an Architect or Architectural Technologist, with a focus
on fire safety and accessibility for disabled individuals.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Engineering.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with relevant codes and standards such as Part B and M of the Building
Regulations, BS 9999, and BS 5588.
• Knowledge of architectural design standards and building codes.
Responsibilities:
• Create fire strategies for projects based on TGD Part B & M, BS9999, BS 5588, FM, and NFPA standards.
• Manage compliance with local permitting, building codes, and health and safety
regulations.
• Prepare and submit Fire Safety and Disabled Access Certificates through BCMS.
• Proactive architect with experience in all stages of project delivery.
• Direct and lead fire strategy discussions with design teams, clients, and regulatory
authorities.
• Ensure the quality of all architectural deliverables meets project standards.
• Provide guidance on building regulations to design and contract teams.
• Help ensure BCAR compliance and write fire inspection reports.
• Experienced in all project delivery stages, from design to construction.
