What’s the Role: Support Worker
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: An Tigin, Rush
An Tigin is a residential service in the quiet village of Rush in North Dublin. We provide high quality care/ support to two service users who have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities as well as physical disabilities and mental health needs.
As a support worker you will provide support to the service users in all aspects of their daily needs by which you will be guided by their individualised person-centered care plan.
You will be provided with in-depth training including induction, annual training updates and bespoke training which will be tailored to the needs of our service users. You will be offered regular supervision and ongoing support from a Team Leader and Manager.
This role will allow you to support our service users and make a difference to their lives.

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Full-t ime and r elief c ontracts available
€27,990 - €38,844
(Dependant on Qualification)
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies*. A driving license and access to a car are essential criteria for this vacancy.
