As a Principal Software Engineer on the AKS team, you'll dive into challenging technical endeavors, developing state-of-the-art software systems. Your work will be instrumental in understanding our system's quality, gathering vital data, and guiding fellow engineers in their design and development choices. You'll be at the forefront of leveraging advanced AI/ML technologies and vast cloud infrastructure, driving Azure Kubernetes and Azure's overall quality to new heights. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, GoLang or PythonOR equivalent experience.
2. 4+ years of coding experiences around Kuberneters, container infrastructures.
3. 4+ years of experiences of operating and maintaining distributed infrastructure.

4. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

OR related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,OR PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.
7. Experiences in modern monitoring/configure management systems, AND/OR cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities
8. Lead a team of engineers to dive deeply into any level or layer of a problem.
9. Research emerging technologies, from software to hardware. Evaluate and make recommendations that advance Azure Kubernetes Service.
10. Advance the capabilities of Kubernetes and auxiliary components on Azure.
11. Initiate and lead projects that advance the quality of service for Azure Kubernetes Service.
12. Establish stable communication channels with partners across the Microsoft ecosystem of engineers. Ensures alignment with partners' expectations.
