Position Summary:
The Procurement Buyer will support the Procurement Operations team with sourcing and purchasing activities, system enhancement projects and procurement data maintenance and reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is eager to develop a career in Procurement. The Procurement Buyer will work closely with Procurement leadership and Procurements Shared Services team, suppliers, and other key departments to deliver Procurement support across our business.
Key Responsibilities:
·Create and maintain purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
·Support supplier onboarding activities and data entry within the Procurement systems.
·Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and market trends in pricing and best-in-class procurement practices.
·Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including supplier information, order details, and contracts.
·Input and manage procurement data in the company's procurement system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
·Generate and analyze procurement reports to support procurement leaderships decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
·Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, track supplier performance, and resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders.
·Support the Procurement Manager in collaborating with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
·Assist the wider procurement team in supplier sourcing related activities.
·Monitor key procurement performance metrics to achieve agreed procurement targets.
Qualifications:
·Qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
·Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management (internship experience considered).
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Excellent communication skills.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
