Links Childcare are recruiting a Deputy Manager to join its Balbriggan Team
About the Role: The Deputy Manager, as the title suggests, can step in and deputise for the Manager as required. He/she is promoted to this role with a proven record of leadership and management skills and an ability to take initiative. The Deputy Manager is selected to complement the skill-set of the Manager so that, as a team, they promote and foster the high standards expected at Links Childcare.
Start date: Immediately
Responsibilities:
Assist the Crèche Manager in the management of the overall crèche;
Ensure rosters & staffing of the centre are well organised.
Meet with parents of prospective children and carry out viewings to determine whether the crèche is a good fit for the child and family.
Oversee the daily running of the crèche; including but not limited to reviewing daily programmes, observations, staff performance and administration duties.
Ensure the crèche operates within the crèche policies and procedures along with ratio, legislation & any regulations requirements.
Ensure any reporting requirements are monitored, maintained and completed on time.
Implement any necessary crèche programmes, systems and operational processes to ensure the successful running of the crèche.
Ability to keep an organised system throughout the creche including paperwork, staffing, queries and rooms
Adhere to Quality Management Procedures, TUSLA Pre-School Regulations
Maintain a professional approach to dealing with parents and fellow workers
Lead, coach and develop a highly functioning team of educators.
Develop positive and open professional relationships with families, children and staff
Provide effective support, guidance & mentoring to staff members of the crèche
Ad-hoc duties as required by Management
Requirements
Experience in a crèche supervisory/ management role is a requirement
Minimum of 2 years’ childcare/creche experience
Hold a minimum of Fetac Level 6 in Childcare certificate
Competent computer literacy
The successful candidate will be highly organised with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team.
Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage the running of a crèche and staff as well as the ability to implement quality early childhood curriculum and creative skills to develop age appropriate activities will be of the utmost importance in this position.
Ability to work as part of a team
Full knowledge of TUSLA regulations and requirements
