Key Responsibilities: Prepare comprehensive and accurate tenders for various projects, ensuring all details are thoroughly addressed. Regularly review current work processes to identify potential areas for cost-saving and operational efficiency. Accurately quantify materials, labour, and equipment needed for upcoming projects. Evaluate sub-contractor quotes, ensuring inclusions and exclusions are thoroughly checked. Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the company. Manage tender queries and compile tender reports for management review. Gather and organise pre-project information, ensuring all necessary documentation is available. Develop a detailed procurement schedule, outlining material and resource acquisition timelines. Generate cost reports and provide detailed estimates to inform decision-making. Oversee the final project handover process to the execution team, ensuring all tender details are properly communicated. Candidate Profile: Holds a relevant degree or possesses a trade background in Building Services or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in estimating within a main Building Services contractor. Strong background in tendering, particularly with HVAC or similar industries, is highly desirable. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. Proven experience in independently pricing projects, working both autonomously and as part of a team. Comfortable working under pressure to meet strict deadlines and budget constraints. In-depth knowledge of building regulations and legal requirements is preferred. Possesses strong analytical and negotiation skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the role. Flexible, with a willingness to learn and adapt as required. Ability to maintain a professional profile and promote the companys values. Primarily office-based but may require travel to various project sites to evaluate potential work opportunities.
