We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations & Regions Business Analyst to join our Operations team, who can leverage key information from large scale data sets and communicate these imaginatively, coherently and effectively. The Operations & Regions Business Analyst will be responsible for the development, generation and distribution of key analysis documentation and will act as a key contact person for our operational Head Office and regional-based departments (Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics). The Operations & Regions Business Analyst will report directly to the Operations & Regions Business Partner.
What you'll do
1. Develop and deliver data-fuelled solutions that help our stakeholders improve strategic decision making
2. Provide insights into leading analytic practices, design, and lead development cycles and ultimately produce analytic solutions that will become part of our core business
3. Work with cross-functional team members to identify high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas helping to support advanced analytics in their business areas
4. Research, design and validate diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes
5. Assist with the generation of standard weekly and monthly performance dashboards and reports
6. Work closely with our operational departments (Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics) to help stakeholders analyse their operational KPIs
What you'll need
Required
7. Technical skills: strong Excel skills, including Power Pivot, Power Query and VBA coding; experience with BI tools e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerBI
8. Comfortable with learning new systems and applying them in every-day use
9. A keen problem-solver with the ability to use critical thinking to find the most productive solution
10. Understanding of KPIs and SLAs with proven ability to adhere to them
11. Excellent organisational and time management skills
12. Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels
13. A passion for / understanding of complex datasets and the challenges they bring
14. Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and to lead and drive complex operational initiatives
15. Natural inquisitiveness and ability to ask the right questions

17. Qualified to degree level or equivalent
18. Fluent English
19. Right to work in the EU

20. SAP experience
21. Previous experience in retail industry analysis

Through our salary system, we ensure pay equality across all positions at Lidl
23. €49,500 rising to €63,000 over 3 years
