Amazon is seeking a pragmatic, innovative, and driven financial services compliance professional to serve as the UK/EU Policy Manager for our Global Standards function, established in Q3 2022. In this role you will develop Global policies that balance Regulatory Compliance & Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions compliance with business enablement to support Amazon’s payments programs and services worldwide.
The Policy Manager role is based within the Global Standards team in the Risk and Compliance Services organization. In this role, the Policy Manager for the UK and EU will be responsible for developing a relationship with local Compliance Offices and Legal representatives, and co-ordinating the development, endorsement and approval of Global Policies under the Global Standards Management Framework.
The successful candidate will be based in our Cork Office.
Key job responsibilities
•Develop, launch and maintain global policies and local variations (addendums, dispensations, non-applicability) in accordance with the Global Standards Management Framework;
•Work closely with the regional Compliance Offices, and fellow Shared Services teams (Risk, Assurance, Governance) as well as Program teams to ensure that policy requirements are embedded in first-line processes and training content;
•Oversee the implementation of policies locally, and manage deviations from policies as part of breach management, working with the local Risk team to manage our risk exposure;
•Represent the Global Standards team in local forums, such as Board/Committees (as applicable), and to the Head of Compliance for the UK and EU regions;
•Provide ad-hoc in-country expertise to the UK/EU geographies on local regulations to support with a variety of tasks: policy development, advisory, regulatory mapping, gap assessments.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
- Prior knowledge in Global Policy Frameworks, AML/CTF regulations, Conduct and Ethics, Complaints, and Consumer Protection
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with research and investigation skills or equivalent
