Engineering Manager - Athlone

As an Engineering Manager, you will manage and support our staff through effective one-to-one interactions, career development planning, and proactive leadership. A deep understanding of team WOW (Ways of Working), high-performing team dynamics, and the principles of Scrum and Agile methodologies is essential. Your ability to foster an environment where teams can thrive and continuously improve will be key to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management : Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members to understand their needs, provide feedback, and foster a supportive work environment.
Career Development : Facilitate the professional growth of team members through tailored development plans, training opportunities, and coaching.
Training and Development : Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development while liaising with the L&D manager.
Principle Advocacy : Champion our core principles within your team and across the company.
Team Building : Develop a cohesive team environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and high-performing team dynamics. Performance
Management : Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure high standards of excellence and continuous improvement.
Conflict Resolution : Address and resolve workplace issues effectively, maintaining a positive atmosphere and promoting teamwork.
Agile Practices : Implement and uphold Scrum and Agile methodologies within the team to enhance efficiency, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
Team WOW (Ways of Working) : Understand and optimize the team's ways of working to ensure productivity, engagement, and alignment with company goals.
Collaboration : Work together with other Engineer managers and various stakeholders, including the Delivery Director, to achieve common goals and ensure consistency across accounts
