Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and talented Mechanical Engineer to join their team just 10km from Cork's city centre.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of optimizing existing manufacturing processes, standardization, efficiency and work flow optimization, and cost reduction.
The successful candidate will also be expected to support the company's lean initiatives, such as 5S, TPM, Standard Work, Gemba, etc.
Responsibilities:
* Optimize existing manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.
* Assist with standardization, efficiency, and work flow optimization, and cost reduction to help increase productivity and profitability.
* Support the company's lean initiatives (5S, TPM, Standard Work, Gemba, etc.) to continuously improve the manufacturing process.
* Develop and implement process improvements that align with company objectives and goals.
* Utilize statistical process control and other tools to measure and improve manufacturing process performance.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Collaborate with other engineers, production staff, and management to ensure quality products are produced on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of [Insert number] years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
* Proven ability to optimize existing processes and drive continuous improvement.
