Process Engineer
Duties
·Collaborate with the senior process manager and stakeholders to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement.
1. Assist in documenting existing processes (PFDs and P&IDSs), including process steps, inputs, outputs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Assist in designing and implementing process improvement initiatives, including streamlining workflows, eliminating waste, and increasing productivity (e.g. preparation and documentation of plant trials).
3. Support the development of process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for new and revised processes (e.g. results from HAZOP, root cause analysis of incidents).
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of process changes and monitor their impact on KPIs (e.g. Management of Change processes).
5. Assist the EHS/Q manager in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, e.g. Risk Assessments. Prepare the documentation for HAZOP reviews and related safety studies.
6. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in process management to contribute innovative ideas for continuous improvement.
Experience Required
7. Bachelor's degree in Natural Science, Engineering, or related field.
8. Prior experience in process management, research, chemical manufacturing or related roles in preferred.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and proposed practical solutions.
10. Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
12. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in work deliverables.
13. Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
14. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
