Townhouse on the Green, a luxe boutique townhouse centrally located in the city centre overlooking St Stephens Green is currently looking for a Front of House Manager.
The main focus of the role is to oversee Front Office operations to provide an outstanding guest experience and exceed expectations as well co-ordinate enquiries and reservations for Floritz and Cellar 22.
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure that all visitors to the Townhouse are greeted with a friendly welcome and offered the highest standards of guest care and customer satisfaction throughout their stay.
* Control daily business activities within the Townhouse ensuring that all VIPs, guests and groups are looked after.
* Ensure that the daily operations of the department run efficiently to a very high standard as expected of a high end townhouse to the complete satisfaction of guests at all times.
* Maximise all available sales opportunities by actively upselling the guest rooms, restaurant and wine bar.
* Ensure that allocation of rooms is conducted in a controlled and effective manner.
* Effectively communicate with all other Departments with specific attention to Reservations, Sales, Finance, HR, Accommodation, Kitchen, Restaurant & Wine Bar.
* Maintain high standards of communication within the Front Office Department through regular team meetings .
* Manage all aspects of invoicing, security, credit control and cash handling, ensuring procedures are followed at all times .
* Ensure the highest standards of presentation and cleanliness of the Front Desk and foyer is maintained at all times.
* Handle and resolve customer complaints, following through to ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have:
* held a similar or supervisory role in a similar business
* strong communication skills both written and verbal
* a natural ability to ensure that each guest in the Townhouse is made to feel welcomed and that their expectations are exceeded
* should be familiar with OpenTable
* previous experience of Opera reservations system is preferred
* exceptional selling skills both upselling and cross selling
* attention to detail
* positive attitude to work
* enjoyment in the sense of empowerment and a want to improve
* the ability to work shifts and weekends
