About the role
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Portfolio Management Analyst to join our Private Client division. This role would be ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone who has an interest in starting an exciting career in Davy. In the role, the successful candidate will:
1. Be responsible for the management of discretionary client portfolios in conjunction with agreed client mandate and Investment Committee guidance;
2. Significant client portfolio analysis with a strong focus on asset allocation, performance and risk drift;
3. Act as a point of contact between the team and Client Advisers on all investment issues;
4. Work closely with the Investment Strategy & Investment Selection teams to ensure that core portfolios deliver on their goals.
5. Comply with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role.
Requirements
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
6. Relevant 3rd level Degree or Masters in business/finance/accountancy or engineering;
7. APA Savings and Investments qualification or equivalent is desirable;
8. Willingness to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation;
9. Excellent information technology capability, including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint);
10. Knowledge of Financial Analytics tools, such as Bloomberg would be beneficial
11. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills;
12. Demonstrable interest and understanding of investments and financial markets;
13. Strong communication and presentation skills; verbal and written;
14. High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
