We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to manage critical projects within a dynamic team focused on building reliable systems capable of handling substantial loads. You'll design and develop scalable, enterprise-level technology solutions that are vital to our company's success. Your expertise in core technologies and tools will be crucial as you take ownership of your code from creation to production.
What you will do:
1. Manage significant projects while guiding the team on implementation and best practices.
2. Play a major role in design of cloud solutions to solve business problems.
3. Proactively participate in Agile processes including backlog refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives, and estimation.
4. Drive innovation through research into new technologies.
Skills required:
5. 5+ years of Software Development experience.
6. Strong technical skills in programming, particularly in writing production-quality code (e.g.,, Java, Python etc.)
7. Experience in writing and reviewing technical documents.
8. Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably GCP.
9. Ability to mentor team members.
10. Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills and a proven track record of effective teamwork and adaptability to evolving technologies.
11. Proficiency in unit/integration testing.
12. Experience in scaling applications for performance and availability.
Nice to have:
13. Familiarity with GCP cloud architecture.
14. Knowledge of GraphQL.
15. Knowledge in data structures and algorithms.
16. Experience with observability tools such as New Relic.
17. Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
What you will learn
18. Developing a pricing platform on the cloud capable of processing millions of events daily.
19. Utilising the latest technologies and approaches like Apache Pulsar and GCP in a CI/CD environment.
20. Strategies for monitoring and supporting an event driven system.
Education:
21. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
