KNOW THE ROLE
Brown Thomas Arnotts are delighted to announce this unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Department Manager to join our team in our Cork store. This Manager will be an integral part of the team in delivering an unrivalled customer experience in a luxury landmark location housing the world’s most desirable brands. The role will be pivotal to managing the day to day activities of the Department in order to provide the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities include:
SALES
1. Communicate Daily/ Weekly Sales targets to the relevant teams and departments.
2. To monitor department product lines, and propose actions to Senior Management.
3. Support with communicating and implementing sales strategies.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
4. Ensure extraordinary Customer Service is delivered at all times achieving store NPS (Net Promoter Score) targets.
5. Support the management team with the coordination and implementation of all customer related events and in store promotions.
6. Support and coach team members with customer queries / returns where necessary.
7. Create awareness of additional services and ensure that they are offered to customers e.g. Personal Shopping and Brown Thomas Loyalty Card
8. To ensure that all team members have a full working knowledge of the companies CRM programme and are compliant in its use.
PEOPLE
9. Participate and support with delivering team briefs.
10. Ensure team members are adequately upskilled and inducted into their relevant areas, i.e. Team Member Buddy Programme.
11. Provide a forum for team members to discuss issues and problems relating to the department and to brain storm solutions.
12. Support Department Manager in the completion of daily floor planners to provide for the smooth running of each area.
13. Ensure all team members are dressed appropriately for business each day, complying with the company dress / grooming guidelines.
14. Be aware and observe all Company policies and procedures (see Company handbook & policies and procedures on the system).
15. Actively live and embed the Brown Thomas Arnotts Group Values with each team on a regular basis.
16. Recognise and coach good performers with positive reinforcement for continued performance and coach poor performers outlining the expected levels of performance and behaviour.
17. Delegate tasks and assign responsibilities ensuring follow up.
MERCHANDISING
18. Ensure department housekeeping standards are maintained on a daily basis using standards checklist.
19. Ensure stockrooms are laid out in an orderly, disciplined and commercial fashion and kept neat and tidy at all times.
20. Ensure all merchandise is checked, priced and stocked properly.
21. Be aware of all store promotional activities, including window displays, advertising etc.
22. Ensure all promotional material/ticketing is ordered and in place on time and in keeping with company standards.
23. Ensure regular feedback is given to senior management on customer reactions to merchandise.
SYSTEMS
24. Ensure all paperwork in relation to point of sale and merchandise e.g. mark-downs, RTV’s and transfers are completed on time
25. To ensure stocktaking is organised and prepared on time and in accordance with company procedures
26. Control costs in relation to House Stationery, Lighting and Heating
SECURITY
27. To ensure you and your team comply with all security procedures
28. Take necessary measures to ensure shrinkage levels are kept within the targets set for your department and to liaise with Security as required to reduce risks
29. Follow correct EPOS procedures and take the necessary steps to deal with any discrepancies
30. Create an awareness that it is every team member’s responsibility to protect the company assets, fixtures and fittings
31. To have a full understanding of the ‘Know your Limits’ Campaign and to regularly refresh your teams on the content.
32. Shows / Product Launches and Charity Events
GENERAL
33. Assist with any other duties required by Store Management
34. Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues in store & Head Office.
35. To represent the Company’s interests with all internal and external interactions.
36. Observe confidentiality in respect of Company activities.
37. Achieve the companies audit compliance targeted pass rate for your department
