Dromoland Castle, one of Ireland's most prestigious 5* Hotels is currently recruiting for the position of Wedding Sales Co-Ordinator. The role of Wedding Sales Co-Ordinator will be a combination of administration and operations. The ideal candidate must be reliable, organised, meticulous in your planning, and have the ability to deliver a seamless and memorable experience.
Overview of Role:
* Meet with couples to discuss their vision, preferences, budget, and specific needs for their wedding day.
* Provide detailed information about the hotel's wedding packages, facilities, and services.
* Assist couples in customising their wedding plans, including menu selection, room layout, decor, and accommodation.
* Manage and coordinate the booking of hotel event spaces, such as banquet / ballroom and gardens.
* Ensure all spaces are set up according to the agreed specifications, including decorations, lighting, and audio-visual equipment.
* Coordinate with in-house departments (culinary, accommodation, banquet staff, etc.) and external vendors (florists, photographers, entertainers) to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Act as the primary point of contact for all vendors, ensuring timely arrivals, setups, and adherence to hotel policies.
* Oversee all aspects of the wedding day, including setup, guest arrivals, ceremony, and reception.
* Ensure the timeline is followed meticulously, coordinating with all relevant staff and vendors.
* Assist the wedding party, family members, and guests with any special requests or needs throughout the day.
* Handle any last-minute changes or unforeseen issues with professionalism and efficiency.
* Promote the hotel's wedding and event services to prospective clients through marketing initiatives, wedding fairs, and tours.
* Maintain relationships with previous clients to encourage referrals and repeat business.
* Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to create promotional materials and packages.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a 4* or 5* environment.
* Relevant 3rd Level Qualification.
* Excellent computer skills are required and in-depth knowledge of the internal operations of a hotel is an advantage.
* Must be available to work weekends when required.
* Ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the Wedding, Sales & Marketing Department.
* Meet annual Wedding & Events targets.
* Responding to all enquiries, scheduling viewing appointments & tracking enquiries.
* Assisting with room reservations for weddings.
* Preparing and updating menus, floor plans and table plans for all Weddings & Events.
* Monitoring all details on function sheets are accurate.
* To be pro-active and use your initiative in generating sales.
