The Hoxton is coming to Dublin, Ireland!
The Hoxton is gearing up to open its very first hotel in Ireland in the beautiful capital city of Dublin. This coastal city is steeped in history, packed with green parks and brought to life through music, art and the best social eating and drinking. We’ll be calling central Dublin home but first we need to pull together a team to help us bring the Hox to this new market.
The Hoxton, Dublin will be home to 129 bedrooms of varying sizes, a lobby bar, historic bar, large ground floor restaurant and lobby restaurant, in addition to another first for us - a nightclub.
We are now looking for an experienced Director of Sales to join us and play a crucial role in the successful launch of our hotel, restaurants and bars.
Reporting to the General Manager, and a dotted line into our VP of Sales, you’ll be responsible for leading the on-property sales team, ensuring strategies are in place to drive revenue across all market segments, to deliver strong top line revenue results.
What you'll do…
1. Develop and implement strategic commercial plans, together with the General Manager & Revenue team, to source, drive and grow revenue across all segments, constantly monitoring results and adjusting strategies and activities to make sure objectives and targets are being met
2. Manage and lead the sales team from recruitment and induction through to team development, encouraging a highly proactive and high performing environment that ultimately allows the team to deliver on objectives
3. Ensure close working relationships with Ennismore regional and brand leads for Sales, Revenue and Brand as well as fostering strong working relationships with the wider Accor Global Sales Team.
4. Provide local market knowledge that helps us stay ahead of the competition
5. Take ownership for pre-opening sales strategies and the sales critical path
6. Collaborate with key teams (e.g., Hotel Operations, Brand, Revenue, Digital, Graphics & PR) ensuring key information and insights are shared and strong relationships are built to ensure everyone is effectively working together to drive top line revenue and deliver exceptional guest experiences
7. Manage a portfolio of accounts, taking the lead on rate negotiations and account management activities whilst ensuring we maximise our market share
Qualifications
What we're looking for...
8. 8+ years’ experience in a senior sales role preferably within the Irish market
9. You’re passionate about hotel sales and goal driven
10. You’re able to introduce structured ways of working into a fast-pace environment that relies in many ways on being flexible and moving at speed
11. You’re a strong team leader, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them
12. You combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach
13. You are an excellent relationship builder, confident in working with other teams and leaders; you’re passionate about what we can achieve together
