SCOPE & GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure that the customers are offered the highest quality standards in service and care, anticipating their needs and being attentive at all times.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. To offer the highest level of guest service in all areas, ensuring the agreed standards are achieved at all times.
2. To complete all duties as allocated by the Night Manager to the standards set - including Conference & Banqueting, Bar and Front Office departments.
3. To follow the Night Porter checklist and ensure all work is completed to the standard required
4. To work with the Night Manager in offering the guest the highest level of customer service on late check-in and early check-out.
5. To maintain vigilance and work with the Night Manager in maintaining security at all times.
6. To offer the highest level of Guest Care in line with the Hotel Service Excellence Programme.
7. To ensure that you have an in-depth knowledge of your departmental product, in addition to being aware of the total hotel facilities.
8. To work as part of the Team, being aware of colleagues and their needs, and being flexible at all times.
9. To promote sales within the department and across the hotel
10. To have pride and commitment in your area of work.
11. To attend training sessions as required.
12. To attend appraisal / assess as required.
13. To attend Hotel and Departmental Meetings as required, ensuring effective communication at all levels.
14. To maintain all company policies and procedures.
15. To ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
16. To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Licensing and Employment.
