Due to the expansion of our offering, Topic Newspapers is now recruiting an Advertising Sales Associate.
Consisting of four local newspaper titles throughout the Midlands as well as a national magazine, a print and design company, growing online platforms and frequent producers of other publications, this is a busy role within a well-established local media organisation.
Based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath the accepted candidate will be dedicated to customer satisfaction and willing to work as part of a team. Experience in a similar position is preferable and he/she must be highly self-motivated and possess a persistent and energetic attitude.
Your typical duties will include:
1. In conjunction with the rest of the team, planning and delivering Sales & Marketing projects across the organisation with a view to generating new leads and retaining existing customers.
2. Staying knowledgeable about our publications and products and explaining to customers the best solutions for their needs.
3. Coming up with creative ideas, preparing proposals, overseeing and executing the production process and reporting the results as necessary.
4. Handle bookings, cancellations and modifications based on customer requests.
5. Coordinate and manage bookings and ensure all customer requirements are met.
6. Process payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the company’s payment policies.
7. Build positive relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or issues.
8. Collaborate with other departments.
To be successful in this role, the chosen candidate will:
1. Be willing to work under pressure and be comfortable to work in a challenging environment as this is a target-driven sales role.
2. Possess the ability to meet tight deadlines and have outstanding time management skills. IT skills and ability to use G-Suite essential.
3. Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with customers professionally and assist them with their reservations.
4. Meticulous attention to detail.
5. The ability to upsell and promote additional services to customers, maximising revenue opportunities.
6. The capability to handle multiple inquiries and bookings simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively.
7. Effective time management skills to respond to inquiries promptly and manage bookings efficiently.
8. Come up with suggestions for improving the existing strategy.
9. Be willing to be flexible in their working patterns as needed to support requirements dictated by the role.
10. Have own transport.
11. Other duties as required.
This may be a Full-Time / Part-Time position depending on the candidate.
Basic Salary + commission.
