Our clients are leading Irish Contractors who undertake large scale construction projects throughout Ireland.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for calculating the anticipated cost of any project, taking into account all relevant circumstances.
Responsibilities:
1. Receive all tender documents and ensure the wider tender team are copied.
2. Issue sub-contract and material enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules (where applicable).
3. Chase tender returns and update enquiry schedule.
4. In conjunction with the wider tender team, raise tender queries.
5. Develop and fill gaps in tender, compile clarifications and estimator notes.
6. Develop and assess a risk schedule and an opportunity assessment.
7. Develop a value engineering schedule.
8. Complete analysis of tenders and prices as received from supply chain.
9. Produce documents for tender settlement and present clear nett costings identifying risks and opportunities.
10. Complete tender submission including Form of Tender, Bills of Quantities & associated commercial information.
Requirements:
1. Degree Qualified in the construction field (Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Technology).
2. 6+ years’ experience in a similar role (i.e. Estimating or Quantity Surveying).
3. Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
4. Computer literate in Microsoft Office; ideally have a working knowledge of Conquest, Cubit, Buildsoft, Costx.
5. Knowledge of the latest construction technology processes, materials and costs.
6. Demonstrate excellent budgetary responsibility.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Good problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
10. Ability to work well under pressure, adhering to strict deadlines.
11. Career driven, ambitious and enthusiastic.
Package:
€55K - €85K negotiable based on experience & qualifications.
