The CompanyOhshima Ireland is currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our growing team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare. This organisation has worldwide expertise but also a local presence within our specialized field. This will be a key role in the company and requires someone coming from a fast-paced multi-national company background.Job DescriptionMaintain quality standards by conducting visual inspection, measurements, testing and approval of incoming parts, first-off inspections, in-process inspections and finished product inspections; recording quality results and generating various quality reports.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Inspects and approves incoming product and materials by checking specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, and rejecting out of specification materials.Inspects and approves in-process/first-off/last-off production by checking specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, and communicating required adjustments to relevant personnel.Prepare and populate First Article Inspection Reports.Inspects and approves finished products by checking specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and ensuring equipment is calibrated.Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Quality Manager or Quality Engineers. Key Requirement:Must have excellent English language skills in both reading and writing and excellent communication skills.Must have good computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.Must have strong attention to detail and have strong organisational skills.Ability to work well within a team environment with minimum of supervision.Ability to read & understand technical drawings is an advantage.Experience of dimensional measurement inspections using metric and imperial measurement units and use of calipers, height gauges, thread gauges is an advantageThis role requires candidates to be currently residing in Ireland with a valid work permit.
