AIM Classroom Assistant
We are currently looking to recruit an AIM Classroom Assistant to join our Children and Family services team in Dublin.
The Role:
The post holder will have responsibility for working directly with the Lead Educator in the classroom to support the inclusion of an identified child/children in the Free Preschool year (ECCE) classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote inclusive practice, offering the child/children an opportunity to participate fully in pre-school.
* Support the child's access and inclusion into daily activities and routines.
* Encourage group participation and independence.
* Prepare the child/children for the transition into the next stage of their education.
Candidate Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum of 1 year of professional experience of working directly with pre-school children in an early year's setting.
* Experience of working with this age group in a similar setting.
* Good knowledge of underlying principles in early years education including Aistear and Siolta.
* A Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education is essential.
* Ability to work well on own and as a team member.
* Be flexible and possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
