Automation Controls Engineer/Technician

This is a permanent position in Co. Longford, working on a 4-cycle shift (rotating 8-week pattern).

The successful candidate will join our support team as a Controls Technician/Engineer and work alongside a leading multinational company in the Pharma sector.
">
Key duties will include:
">

* Supporting automation equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, motion control, electrical safety, and more.
">
* Carrying out scheduled maintenance on controls equipment.
">
* Collaborating with various functional departments on new projects, equipment installs, and upgrades.
">
* Completing project work for process improvements.
">
* Ensuring line efficiency metrics are met.
">
* Troubleshooting using control software.
">
* Completing all required training to ensure compliance with industry standards.
">
">
Requirements include:
">
">
* A B.Sc. degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering, or Mechatronics (or relevant industry experience).
">
* At least 2 years of relevant automation engineering experience.
">
* A working knowledge of the Allen Bradley suite of products is preferable.
">
* Training will also be provided.
">
* Robotics programming/maintenance knowledge is a distinct advantage.
">
* An understanding of motion control (servo systems/VSD/motor control) is necessary.
">
* The ability to read, understand, and draft electrical schematics.
">
* Understanding of machine safety systems and safety hardware.
">
* Machine vision system experience is an advantage.
">
* Experience working in a GAMP environment is a distinct advantage.
">
* Training will also be provided.
