Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as a Buyer. The role is based at our manufacturing site in Swords, Co Dublin, Ireland.
This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Buyer you will:
1. Purchase Materials to support production and service in line with business needs.
2. Maximise use of ‘Lean Supply’ methods to meet delivery and inventory objectives.
3. Monitor key metrics in the areas of on-time delivery, inventory, cost, quality and service to achieve agreed targets with suppliers.
4. Lead all significant issue resolution programs with suppliers, with Engineering and Quality
5. Conduct business reviews with suppliers to ensure that performance is to target and any required improvements are agreed
6. Contribute to the site Productivity program through the implementation of cost reduction projects and transfers.
7. Work with Strategic Procurement to advance the performance and optimization of the supply base.

9. Good working knowledge of Procurement tools, processes, methods and reports.

12. Capable of negotiating with and influencing suppliers to deliver business results.
13. Excellent oral communications, business writing skills and presentation skills.

Requirements to succeed in this role
15. Batchelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (QQI level 8).
16. Minimum of 5 years professional experience within Procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
17. Experience of dealing with a broad range of supplier organisations across Europe, Asia and North America.
18. Ability to interact with and influence suppliers at a senior management level, to manage escalations.
19. Established commercial mind-set with the ability to assess and conclude business decisions with suppliers
