Position Description ESB Customer Solutions develops, markets, sells, and services innovative energy supply and service offerings through Electric Ireland retail businesses operating in RoI and NI.
The Business Solutions function is an emerging team in the Residential Customer, Commercial and Strategy team, responsible for prioritising and delivering customer solutions in partnership with our cross-functional partners.
Our technology landscape includes a wide range of digital technologies, a broad SAP footprint, and other bespoke solutions and, at any time, several agile and waterfall deliveries run concurrently across this landscape.
The Customer, Commercial and Strategy team wish to recruit a Business Analyst to manage and support the prioritisation, identification and scoping of changes required to deliver both short- and long-term goals for Residential Markets.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Developing and managing a prioritisation model to shape the roadmap for delivery of products across residential markets.
Ensuring business benefits align with the strategy Working across Residential markets to understand the business model canvas needed to underpin the successful deployment of solutions Value mapping workshop facilitation and PMO activities Understanding and highlighting the interdependencies between traditional (SAP) technology, digital and other technologies such as SAP Marketing Cloud and analytics to meet business requirements.
Gathering, understanding, documenting, and challenging business requirements Working with Enterprise Services and other delivery partners to identify solutions.
Understanding the business vision & strategic goals Support the business in understanding the end-to-end business process across all Electric Ireland to successfully realise the benefits of a specific IT change.
Experience & Qualifications Essential 5-7 years' experience in a similar digital role A relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
Strong facilitation and meeting management skills Business Process Modelling Structured requirements gathering and documentation Experience of working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies Excellent organisation & communications skills, both written and oral Initiative and ability to take ownership of own work through to completion Strong stakeholder management (Project, Business & External) The ability to understand core business processes and how they are enabled by related IT systems Attention to detail Desirable Design thinking techniques Structured problem-solving methodologies such as Lean and A3 or a desire to become accredited Word, Visio, Excel, Sharepoint, Office 365 knowledge Experience working in a utilities environment Location This role is based in Swift Square, Santry, Dublin 9.
