The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Learning Team is seeking a Data Center Learning Evaluation and Audit Manager to lead our efforts in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of our comprehensive technical training programs. This role will be crucial in ensuring that our learning initiatives for data center technicians are delivering measurable results and driving operational excellence across our global infrastructure.
In this role, you'll spearhead the evaluation and auditing of our diverse training programs, ranging from instructor-led sessions to e-learning modules and on-the-job training. You'll implement robust evaluation methodologies, including Kirkpatrick's four-level model, to assess the impact of our learning initiatives on technician performance, operational efficiency, and overall data center effectiveness.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive evaluation strategies using Kirkpatrick's four-level model and other relevant frameworks.
- Analyze training outcomes at multiple levels: reaction, learning, behavior, and results.
- Develop and administer surveys, interviews, and assessments to gather data on program effectiveness.
- Conduct thorough audits of existing training programs to assess their alignment with organizational goals and technician needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant local regulations in learning program design and delivery.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure the impact of learning initiatives on technician performance and data center operations.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on evaluation findings and audit results.
- Develop a scalable model to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making on program continuation, modification, or termination.
- Collaborate with designers, certification specialists, and subject matter experts to implement enhancements based on evaluation and audit results.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in technical training and evaluation methodologies.
- Conduct regular audits of certification standards and programs.

We do that by learning the job roles and functions required for individuals and managers to operate and innovate in the data center environment. We create learning experiences for new hires, career development learning paths to grow our internal talent, and experiment with innovative technology and mechanisms to improve adult learning in the corporate environment.- Several years experience in learning and development, education, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Kirkpatrick's evaluation method and other training evaluation frameworks.
- Experience in conducting program audits and ensuring compliance.
- Strong analytical and data analysis and statistical skills.
- Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field.
