Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Dublin
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. You will have responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations for the finance function, including maintenance of accurate financial records, financial reporting, tax compliance, and risk management & controls. This is a key role in supporting the financial health and integrity of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for managing day-to-day finance and accounting operations, acting as the main point of contact for outsourced finance activities and other intercompany partners.
2. Manage the monthly and quarterly close process and related Group reporting.
3. Ownership of general ledger reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
4. Maintain robust financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
5. Own and develop financial systems, and processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
6. Partner with the Commercial Finance team on the annual budgeting process; acting as a trusted and visible point of contact to the key functional leads.
7. Lead the preparation of annual financial statements, liaising with external auditors in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Responsible for ensuring all statutory, tax and other compliance returns are completed on time.
9. Manage the annual entity-level controls SOX program.
10. Review of fortnightly/monthly payroll, partnering with our HR team and outsourced payroll advisors.
11. Support cash flow management.
12. Other areas of responsibility – project work, IDA Grant, RDTC.
Requirements
Education and Experience
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
* 4+ years PQE working in fast-growing companies, ideally within the technology or media space.
Skills and Competencies
* Strong understanding of US GAAP and FRS102.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite).
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams.
* Ambitious, independent and adaptable worker with strong business acumen.
* Results-oriented, with proven ability to prioritise and deliver quality work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
