Social Care Assistants - Residential Services (Service Area 5)
Locations in Claremorris & Kilkelly Co Mayo
* St Ritas Claremorris Permanent 19.5 hours per week Night Duty - Reference Number 2025-052
* St Ritas Claremorris Permanent 15.5 hours per week - Reference Number 2025-053
* Hillcrest Kilkelly Permanent 14 hours per week - Reference Number 2025-054

Job Brief
Successful applicant will be required to deliver on the vision for the people they are supporting. You will support the individual to gain valued social roles in their lives and participate in meaningful creative activities through developing appropriate supports. You will also advocate on behalf of the individual with regard to their needs and preferences and support the development of their Individual Plans.
No minimum level is required for Social Care Assistant positions.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in facilitating and supporting people with high and/or complex needs.
* A genuine understanding and interest in working alongside people to effect positive opportunities and change in their lives.
* The ability to listen and respectfully advocate for individuals regarding their needs, preferences, rights, and dreams.
* Excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of teamwork with motivation to deliver high-quality facilitation.
* A strong belief in people's rights, inclusion, and equality.
* Flexibility to respond to service demands.
* Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations is essential.
* Good knowledge of IT skills is preferable.
Other Requirements
* Full driver's license is essential.
* All applicants will be subject to Irish Garda Vetting & Reference checks.
* Applicants from outside the E.U. must provide relevant work authorization to take up employment in the Republic of Ireland.
* Applicants must access Overseas Police Clearance if they have lived outside of the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland for more than 6 months since age 18.

These vacancies are based on full-time working hours (i.e. 39 hours per week).
